FLORIDA FISH AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION COMMISSION OFFERS HUNTER SAFETY COURSE IN SANTA ROSA COUNTY

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., March 30 -- The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission issued the following news release:

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering a free hunter safety course in Santa Rosa County.

The course will be conducted at Avalon Middle School, 5445 King Arthur's Way, in Milton. Instruction will be from 6 to 9 p.m. April 12, 14, 19 and 21. The range portion of the class will be April 23 from 7 to 10 a.m.

People who have taken the Internet course and wish to complete the classroom portion must bring the online-completion report and attend only the April 12 class from 6 to 10 p.m. and the April 23 range day.

An adult must accompany children under the age of 16 at all times. Students should bring a pencil and paper with them to take notes.

People born on or after June 1, 1975, must successfully complete an approved hunter safety course before they can purchase a Florida hunting license. The FWC course satisfies hunter safety training requirements for all other states and Canadian provinces.
